Lone Larsen

Lone Larsen is an innovative conductor known for redefining traditional concert forms, creating a dynamic, playful space for musicians and singers to explore music together. She is a professor of choral conducting and the artistic director of VoNo, a Swedish vocal ensemble of 12 professional singers dedicated to discovering new expressions in the choral art.

Lone has been conductor, artistic project leader, and chorus master at Folkoperan in Stockholm, and she has served as the artistic director of Vokal Nord in Norway. Internationally, she collaborates with renowned ensembles such as DR Vokalensemblet, Svenska Radiokören, Pro Coro Canada, and the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir and she often gives masterclasses and workshops at festivals and conducting courses.

Born in Denmark, Lone received her education at the Nordjysk Academy of Music in Aalborg, the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and the Juilliard School of Music in New York. In 2008, she was honoured as Sweden’s Choral Conductor of the Year.
