Karin Courtnay

Karin Courtnay studied music education and instrumental music education
with a focus on flute, singing and choir conducting at the University of
Music and Performing Arts Vienna. After numerous master classes and working
as a guest conductor & speaker in the national and international choral
music scene, she also completed the master’s degree in “Rhythmic Choir
Conducting” at the Royal Academy of Music Denmark in 2019 and the course
“Pop & Jazz Vocal Leadership” at the Codarts University Rotterdam (NL) in
2021.

After several choirs in and around Vienna – from lively youth choirs
to large symphonic adult choirs – she led various choirs at the Vienna
University Philharmonic until 2018 and then founded “V.O.I.C.E – Vienna Pop
& Jazz Choir Experience” in February 2019.

With V.O.I.C.E, her dream of creating and performing high-level vocal pop &
jazz in all its facets with a professional team and making it accessible to
