Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Great Hall
Final Concert of LEADING VOICES
Boys’ Choir of Estonian National Opera, conductor Hirvo Surva
Chamber Choir “Jauna muzika” (Vilnius), conductor Vaclovas Augustinas
Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, conductor Tõnu Kaljuste
Musta Lammas (Finland), conductor Ida Olsonen
LEADING VOICES concludes with a grand choral gala, showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of the world’s current choral landscape. The performers range from a classical boys’ choir to the internationally acclaimed Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir.
Adding a unique flavour is Finland’s Must Lammas, whose style is defined by freedom, improvisation, and individuality. Though seemingly unconventional for choral music, their performances reflect evolving global trends in the choral world.
The evening’s program is highly creative featuring folk arrangements, rhythmic contemporary works, improvisations, and new compositions. A special highlight is audience participation in a common sing-along experiment, this would be an experience not often met, and sure to be memorable.
Program includes: Pärt, Tormis, Grigorjeva, Seppar, Augustinas, Valgre, improvisations, and more
