Singing in Schools

Singing is fun, it creates connection and brings a positive atmosphere to the classroom and school environment. Children naturally love to sing and move, and our programmes aim to harness that joy. We support teachers in primary schools across Flanders with:

•   Teacher training: Inspiring workshops and webinars on how to start a school choir and build a singing classroom step by step.
•   Activities for schools: From full-day singing events to longer-term projects including concerts with live bands. For pre-schools, we offer a more intimate classroom approach.
•   New materials: Easy-to-learn songs linked to classroom themes, with lesson tips, audio files and instructional videos for teachers.
•   Zingende Scholen (Singing Schools): We’re building a growing community of schools that embrace singing as part of their DNA.

 

Singing with Children

We offer training and inspiration days for anyone who sings with children: general and music teachers, children’s and school choir conductors, early years educators, and more. What is more, our programmes include holiday camps and singing weekends, as well as partnership projects such as Project V for children in vulnerable situations.

In addition, we provide 6 hours of free choir coaching for member children’s choirs—an experienced coach works alongside the conductor to strengthen and support the choir’s development.
